About This Unit Converter

This free online unit converter handles seven major categories — length, weight, temperature, volume, area, speed, and data storage — giving you instant, accurate results as you type. There's no need to sign up or install anything. All calculations run entirely inside your browser.

Temperature conversions use the correct offset formulas (not simple multiplication), so Celsius ↔ Fahrenheit ↔ Kelvin are always accurate. Data storage units follow the binary standard: 1 KB = 1024 bytes, 1 MB = 1024 KB, and so on.

Select the Temperature category, choose °C as the From unit and °F as the To unit, then type your Celsius value. The formula °F = (°C × 9/5) + 32 is applied automatically. For example, 100 °C = 212 °F.
Binary (IEC standard): 1 KB = 1024 B, 1 MB = 1,048,576 B, 1 GB = 1,073,741,824 B. This matches how operating systems report file sizes. The info banner on the tool reminds you of this.
Yes — negative temperatures (e.g., −40 °C) are perfectly valid. For other categories (length, weight, etc.) the tool will still perform the conversion but display a warning, since most physical quantities cannot be negative.
The Decimal places selector offers 0–6 decimal places. The default is 4, which balances precision and readability for most conversions. For scientific work choose 6; for rough estimates choose 0 or 1.
The formula line displays the unit-to-unit relationship, for example 1 km = 0.6214 mi. It updates whenever you change the units, giving you a quick reference factor even before you type a value.
