Frequently Asked Questions

Do these tools upload my PDF to a server?
No. All PDF processing happens in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly (pdf-lib, PDF.js, jsPDF). Your file bytes never leave your device. Closing the browser tab clears all data from memory.
Is there a file size limit for PDFs?
There is no hard limit set by the tools — the practical limit is your device's available memory. Very large PDFs (100+ MB) may be slow to process on older devices. For large files, try closing other tabs first to free up memory.
Are the output PDFs watermarked?
No. None of the TextGround PDF tools add watermarks, branding, or any modifications beyond what you explicitly apply.
What is the difference between Merge PDFs and Merge Files to PDF?
Merge PDFs combines existing PDF files into one PDF. Merge Files to PDF converts images and documents into a PDF and combines them. Use Merge PDFs when your source files are already PDFs; use the others when starting from images or Office documents.
Can I use these tools on a phone or tablet?
Yes. All tools are responsive and work on mobile browsers. However, PDF editing on a small screen may be awkward — the PDF Editor and page-management tools are most comfortable on a desktop or laptop.
